New drug trial aims to break nicotine vaping addiction
NCT ID NCT07392125
Summary
This study is testing whether a medication called cytisinicline, combined with behavioral support, can help adults quit using nicotine e-cigarettes. About 800 daily vapers will be randomly assigned to receive either the real medication or a placebo pill for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if people taking cytisinicline are more likely to successfully stop vaping during the final month of treatment.
