Robot vs nurse: which better guards Kids' lungs on ventilators?
NCT ID NCT05918172
Summary
This study tested whether an automatic device or manual nurse checks work better to prevent pneumonia in children on breathing machines. Researchers compared two ways to manage the air pressure in the breathing tube's cuff, which seals the airway. They enrolled 241 critically ill children to see which method led to fewer cases of ventilator-associated pneumonia.
