First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This pilot study tested whether a simple values-affirmation exercise could help older adults with heart failure stick to their medication routine while in cardiac rehab. 43 participants were randomly assigned to either the affirmation group or usual care. The main goals were to see if the study procedures were feasible and acceptable, and to measure medication adherence using electronic monitors.
