NCT ID NCT06821893
First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether a small device that gently stimulates the ear can help reduce the bother of chronic tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Forty adults with moderate to severe tinnitus were randomly assigned to use either the active device or a sham (inactive) device. Both groups also took part in an 8-week online mindfulness program. The main goal was to see if the active device led to a meaningful drop in tinnitus severity compared to the sham group.
