First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a lactic acid gel (Phexxi) can change the balance of bacteria in the vagina to prevent repeat infections like bacterial vaginosis (BV) and yeast infections. About 22 women who have had at least two infections in the past year will use the gel for 30 days. Researchers will check if the gel increases good bacteria and reduces symptoms.
