First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether a lactic acid gel (Phexxi) can change the balance of bacteria in the vagina to prevent repeat infections like bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections. Twenty-two women who have had at least two infections in the past year will use the gel for 30 days. Researchers will check their vaginal bacteria and symptoms before, right after, and 30 days after using the gel.
