Brain wave tweak may boost nerve stimulator for tough epilepsy
NCT ID NCT04693221
First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether adjusting vagal nerve stimulator settings based on brain wave patterns (called PLI) can reduce seizures more than standard settings. About 140 people with drug-resistant epilepsy who already have a vagal nerve stimulator will take part. The goal is to find the best stimulation settings for each person to better control seizures.
