Summary
This study is testing whether a special vacuum dressing helps wounds heal better after surgery for soft tissue cancer in the leg. Patients who have had radiation before surgery are at high risk for wound problems. Researchers across Canada are comparing the vacuum dressing to a standard dressing to see if it reduces infections, shortens hospital stays, and improves patient recovery.
