Experimental vaccine combo targets brain metastases in first human trial

This early-phase study tests whether a special cancer vaccine (SV-BR-1-GM) combined with an immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) is safe and feasible for people with solid tumors that have spread to the brain or spinal cord. About 20 adults whose cancer has worsened after standard treatment will receive up to nine cycles of the combination. The main goals are to check for serious side effects and see how many people can complete six months of therapy.
