New vaccine could protect thousands of babies from painful ear infections

NCT ID NCT04193215

Summary

This study tested whether the V114 vaccine could prevent painful ear infections caused by specific bacteria in young children. Over 7,000 healthy infants around 2 months old received the vaccine to see if it reduced ear infections compared to no vaccine. Researchers also carefully monitored the children's safety throughout the study to ensure the vaccine was well-tolerated.
