Pee test vs. camera: which do patients prefer for bladder cancer monitoring?

NCT ID NCT06126796

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at whether people with a history of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer prefer a urine-based molecular test (CxBladder Monitor) or a cystoscopy (a thin tube inserted into the urethra) for routine cancer surveillance. 107 participants tried both methods and reported their preference and satisfaction. The goal is to see if a noninvasive urine test could replace the more uncomfortable scope exam for monitoring.
