NCT ID NCT05333679

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tested a new urine test that can quickly show if people with HIV are taking their medication (tenofovir) as prescribed. The goal is to catch adherence problems early, before the virus becomes detectable in the blood. 200 adults with HIV who had a previous high viral load took part. The test was compared to blood tests and pharmacy records to see if it could help clinics provide timely support.
