Scientists develop new test for rare metabolic disease
NCT ID NCT05671666
Summary
This study aims to develop a better test to measure how well the body processes protein waste in people with urea cycle disorders. Researchers will compare results from 100 participants (both healthy volunteers and people with the disorder) using a safe, non-radioactive tracer. The goal is to create a tool that can help evaluate current and future treatments for these serious inherited conditions.
