Scientists develop new test for devastating metabolic disorders
NCT ID NCT05671666
Summary
This study aims to develop a better way to measure how well the body processes protein waste in people with urea cycle disorders (UCDs) - rare, serious genetic conditions. Researchers will compare results from 100 participants (both healthy volunteers and people with UCDs) using a safe, non-radioactive tracer substance. The test could help evaluate current and future treatments for these disorders that currently have no cure.
