Standing tall: new CT scan method could change how we diagnose back pain
NCT ID NCT07456137
First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether taking a CT scan while standing up gives doctors better information about spine narrowing than the usual lying-down scan. Researchers will compare both types of scans in 20 adults who are already scheduled for a standard CT. The goal is to see if the standing scan changes treatment plans for people with low back and leg symptoms.
