Standing CT scans could reveal hidden spine problems
NCT ID NCT07456137
First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study will test if taking a CT scan while standing (upright) provides more useful information than the standard lying-down (supine) CT scan for diagnosing narrowing in the lower spine. About 20 adults who are already scheduled for a routine spine CT will also get a standing scan. The goal is to see if the standing view changes how doctors plan treatment for lumbar spinal stenosis.
