Summary
This study looked at a type of immune cell called regulatory T cells in people with giant cell arteritis (Horton's disease), a condition that causes inflamed blood vessels. Researchers wanted to see if these cells are not working properly, which could explain why the disease happens. They took blood samples from 41 patients before treatment to measure specific markers on the cells. The goal was to learn more about the disease so that better treatments can be developed in the future.
