NCT ID NCT07323082
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at how certain natural chemicals in the body affect blood vessel health in people with pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE), a rare genetic disease that causes abnormal calcium buildup in tissues. Researchers will measure levels of these chemicals and enzymes in 45 adults with PXE to better understand the disease and find possible new treatment targets. The study does not test a new drug, but aims to gather knowledge that could guide future therapies.
