First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at how certain natural chemicals in the body affect blood vessel health in people with pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE), a rare genetic disease that causes calcium buildup in tissues. Researchers will measure levels of these chemicals in 45 adults with PXE to better understand the disease and find new treatment targets. Participants must have a confirmed PXE diagnosis and an ABCC6 gene mutation.
