NCT ID NCT04227678
First seen Feb 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at how people with lipoprotein lipase deficiency (LPLD) handle fat from food. People with LPLD have very high blood fats and often get stomach pain or pancreatitis. Researchers want to see where the fat goes in the body and if the heart can use it for energy. 16 adults (8 with LPLD and 8 healthy) will take a special tracer and have PET scans to track the fat.
