First seen Feb 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at how people with lipoprotein lipase deficiency (LPLD) handle fat from food. LPLD causes very high blood fats, leading to belly pain and risk of pancreatitis. Researchers will use special imaging and breath tests to see where dietary fat goes in the body and how the heart uses it. The goal is to better understand the disease to help develop new treatments.
