Special MRI scans aim to unlock secrets of broken heart syndrome

NCT ID NCT07491718

First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study uses a special dye called manganese during MRI scans to learn more about broken heart syndrome (takotsubo cardiomyopathy). Researchers want to understand how the heart works differently in this condition and how common heart medications might affect it. About 100 adults with the condition will take part. The goal is to gather knowledge, not to test a new treatment.
