First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested whether a colorful undersea-themed cover for the exam table could lower fear and anxiety in 80 children aged 3 to 12 getting their first ECG. Kids were randomly assigned to either the standard setup or the decorated cover. Researchers measured fear and anxiety using special scales. The goal was to see if a simple, non-medical change could make the experience less stressful.
