First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests if umbilical cord cells are safe and can help people with severe systemic sclerosis, a rare disease that hardens the skin and can damage organs. 18 adults with advanced disease will receive infusions of these cells. The main goal is to check for serious side effects within one month, and also to see if skin thickness improves over a year.
