New ultrasound method could better predict breathing difficulties during surgery
NCT ID NCT07309978
Summary
This study aims to see if ultrasound measurements of the neck and throat are better than standard physical measurements at predicting which patients will have difficulty having a breathing tube placed during surgery. Researchers will compare both methods in 200 adults having elective surgery. The goal is to improve safety by identifying patients who need special airway management before anesthesia begins.
