Ultrasound may outshine standard tests for airway risk in obesity
NCT ID NCT07528677
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether using ultrasound can better predict if placing a breathing tube will be difficult in obese patients (BMI over 35). Researchers will compare ultrasound measurements of the neck with standard tests like the Mallampati score. 70 adults having planned surgery will take part. The goal is to improve safety during anesthesia.
