First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study looked at whether an ultrasound measurement of the lower uterine segment thickness can help predict the risk of uterine rupture during labor in women who have had a previous C-section. Nearly 3,000 pregnant women with one prior C-section were enrolled. The goal was to see if using this ultrasound information could reduce serious complications for both mother and baby.
