First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special ultrasound can give surgeons real-time information about blood flow to the hip joint during surgery in infants with hip dysplasia. About 125 infants aged 4 to 24 months will be enrolled. The goal is to see if this technique can help predict and prevent a serious complication called avascular necrosis, where the hip bone loses blood supply.
