First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special ultrasound can give doctors real-time information about blood flow to the hip joint in infants having surgery for hip dysplasia. About 125 babies aged 4 to 24 months will take part. The goal is to see if this technique can help predict and prevent a serious complication called avascular necrosis, where bone tissue dies due to lack of blood supply.
