First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to treat kidney stones using only ultrasound waves to break them into tiny pieces and help them pass naturally. About 140 adults with small to medium stones will get this painless, anesthesia-free treatment. The goal is to see if it is safe and effective at reducing stones to 2 mm or smaller, potentially avoiding the need for surgery or other procedures.
