First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding ultrasound therapy to exercise helps people with iliotibial band syndrome, a common cause of knee pain. 75 adults aged 45-60 received either exercise alone, exercise plus continuous ultrasound, or exercise plus intermittent ultrasound for 15 sessions. Researchers measured pain, function, quality of life, and tissue thickness before, right after, and 3 months after treatment.
