Scientists use ultrasound to see inside Athletes' bodies, aiming to predict injuries

NCT ID NCT07485530

Summary

This 3-year research project aims to understand how muscles, tendons, and ligaments change with exercise, injury, and rehab. Researchers will use a special ultrasound technique to measure tissue movement and stiffness in baseball pitchers, people with ankle tendon problems, and patients recovering from knee surgery. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help assess injury risk and improve physical therapy programs.
