Summary

This study looks at whether ultrasound-guided nerve blocks can lower the chance of lung complications after major abdominal surgery. Researchers will observe 500 adults aged 65 and older who are having elective surgery. The study does not assign treatments—it simply watches what happens in routine care. The goal is to see if those who receive the nerve block have fewer lung issues within the first week after surgery.
