First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a targeted nerve block, guided by ultrasound, can reduce chronic pain caused by shingles (postherpetic neuralgia). Researchers treated 34 adults whose pain continued despite other treatments. They measured pain levels and quality of life before and after the procedure. The goal was to see if this injection offers a safe way to ease long-lasting nerve pain.
