Summary
This study tested whether using ultrasound to guide a needle makes drawing blood from the radial artery (in the wrist) easier and less painful. 74 adults who needed an arterial blood sample took part. Researchers measured how often the first try succeeded, the number of attempts, and pain and satisfaction scores from patients and health professionals.
