Sound waves and gel: a new hope for numb, painful hands?
NCT ID NCT06538818
Summary
This study tested if adding a special ultrasound treatment with hyaluronic acid gel could help women with carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) that developed after breast cancer surgery and hormone therapy. 60 women were split into two groups: one received the ultrasound gel treatment plus standard physical therapy, while the other received only standard therapy. Researchers measured changes in hand pain, nerve function, and grip strength to see if the gel treatment provided extra relief.
