Sound waves and gel tested to soothe painful hands after breast cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT06538818

Summary

This study tested if a special ultrasound treatment, which pushes a gel into the skin, could help women with carpal tunnel syndrome. The condition developed after mastectomy and hormone therapy. Researchers compared the ultrasound and gel treatment plus standard care against standard care alone in 60 women to see if it reduced pain and improved hand function.
