Silent joint damage in IBD: can ultrasound spot it before symptoms start?
NCT ID NCT07205549
Summary
This study aims to see if a special type of ultrasound can detect hidden joint and tendon inflammation in people with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis (IBD), even when they don't have any arthritis symptoms. Researchers will test 81 IBD patients who have no prior diagnosis of inflammatory arthritis. The goal is to create a standard scanning method to find these 'silent' problems earlier, which could help doctors monitor the disease better.
