Silent pain: ultrasound scans uncover hidden joint damage in IBD
NCT ID NCT07205549
Summary
This study aims to see if a special type of ultrasound can find hidden joint and tendon inflammation in people with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis (IBD), even when they don't have joint pain. Researchers will test 81 IBD patients who don't have a diagnosis of arthritis. The goal is to create a standard scanning method to detect these 'silent' problems early, which could help doctors manage the disease better.
