Ultrasound may spot hidden endometriosis without surgery

NCT ID NCT07427849

First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study aims to see if a simple ultrasound can reliably diagnose superficial endometriosis by measuring the thickness of the uterosacral ligaments. Researchers will compare ultrasound results with findings from laparoscopic surgery in 64 women of childbearing age. If successful, it could lead to a non-invasive way to detect this condition earlier.
