Could a simple scan replace surgery for endometriosis diagnosis?
NCT ID NCT07427849
Summary
This study aims to see if a specialized vaginal ultrasound can accurately detect superficial endometriosis in pelvic ligaments, potentially offering a less invasive diagnostic tool. Researchers will compare ultrasound measurements from 64 patients of childbearing age with findings from their scheduled laparoscopic surgery. The goal is to determine if a specific ligament thickness seen on ultrasound reliably indicates the presence of endometriosis.
