Brain ultrasound tested as potential autism treatment

NCT ID NCT07225322

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive ultrasound aimed at a specific brain area might help improve social and behavioral symptoms in people with autism. Researchers will give the treatment to 20 teens and young adults with autism to check if it's safe and if it shows any early signs of helping. They'll measure changes in social skills, brain activity, and behavior using questionnaires and scans.
