Brain ultrasound trial offers new hope for autism

NCT ID NCT07225322

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive ultrasound aimed at a specific brain area is safe and might help improve social difficulties in people with autism. It will involve 20 teens and young adults (ages 13-25) with autism. Researchers will use brain scans and behavior tests to see if the ultrasound treatment leads to any changes.
