First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at 50 adults on regular hemodialysis to see how the speed of fluid removal (ultrafiltration rate) relates to sudden drops in blood pressure during treatment. The goal was to find the safest fluid removal speed to prevent these dangerous drops. Researchers analyzed patient history and other risk factors to identify the best threshold.
