NCT ID NCT07468526
First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests a very short, 3-day course of the drug primaquine to cure vivax malaria and prevent it from returning. Current treatments take longer, which can lead to people not finishing them. The trial will include about 1,019 people with vivax malaria who have a normal G6PD enzyme level. Researchers will check if the short treatment is safe and effective at stopping malaria from coming back within 4 to 6 months.
