New heart scan approach may protect kidneys in crisis

Summary
This study tests whether using a very small amount of contrast dye during heart X-rays is safe for people who already have acute kidney injury. About 32 hospitalized adults will be randomly assigned to get the heart scan right away or wait until their kidney function improves. The goal is to see if the ultra-low contrast method can prevent further kidney damage.
