First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tests whether using very low amounts of contrast dye during heart X-rays is safe for people who already have acute kidney injury. About 32 hospitalized adults will be randomly assigned to get the heart imaging right away or wait until their kidneys stabilize. The goal is to see if the ultra-low contrast approach reduces the risk of further kidney damage.
