Summary
This study looked at whether adding an early chest CT scan to standard checks helps predict pneumonia in people who just had a stroke. Researchers analyzed data from 1499 stroke patients who had a chest CT within 24 hours. They built a model combining CT findings, inflammation markers, and clinical signs to better identify those at risk.
