NCT ID NCT03503331

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at how a sticky protein called amyloid builds up in the brains of people with Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will use special PET scans to measure amyloid levels and see how they relate to a person's race and heart health. The goal is to better understand Alzheimer's, not to test a new treatment. About 160 participants from the UAB Alzheimer's Disease Center will take part.
