First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether a single dose of tranexamic acid, a drug that reduces bleeding, can also lower inflammation and improve early recovery after ACL reconstruction. Sixty adults having ACL surgery will receive either the drug or a placebo, and researchers will measure inflammation markers and blood loss. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost treatment can reduce pain and swelling in the first days after surgery.
